SARSWATI POOJA

We have been celebrating Saraswati puja on this day. On the 26 January 2023, Puja started in the morning at 9 a.m. The whole school and cultural hall was decorated with flowers. Basant Panchmi is a festival; on this festival we do Saraswati puja, to get the blessings from the goddess Saraswati.

Saraswati puja was organized in our school, on the occasion of Basant Panchmi. The festival Basant Panchmi shows the Indian culture and tradition from several years. We have been celebrating Saraswati puja on this day. On 26 January, Puja started in the morning at 9 a.m. The whole school and cultural hall was decorated with flowers. Basant Panchmi is a festival; on this festival we do Saraswati puja, to get the blessings from the goddess Saraswati. It is supposed that the Devi Saraswati was born on the day which is further celebrated as Basant Panchmi.  

Lord Saraswati is the goddess of intelligence, knowledge, education, harmony, art, and speech. Thus we worship Saraswati Devi earlier initiating any good work. Our schools principal inaugurated the event and worshiped goddess Saraswati. While  principal was doing Saraswati puja, everyone present at the event was stood up and started singing Saraswati vandana. After that everyone was distributed sweets. Thereafter event further extended to the cultural program. Student performed dances, dramas, and sung songs. The winners of the cultural programme were distributed prizes and thus the event was declared finished.

DESCRIPTION

Saraswati Puja is celebrated in the Magha month (January–February) and coincides with Vasant Panchami or Shree Panchami. People place books and reading materials near the Saraswati statue or picture and worship the goddess. Many people also choose the day as a symbolic start of learning the alphabets by children.
